The Access and Digital team from Pope Woodhead (PW) attended this year’s PharmAccess Leaders Forum in Berlin, and actively engaged in various panels and presentations across the three days. Our Head of Digital Giles Thurston kicked things off with a presentation on digital engagement, followed by Head of Access Chris Easley, with a presentation on developing world-class market access capability. Finally PW MD Andrew Hobbs took part in a panel discussion on patients contribution to product evaluation and reimbursement decisions, before chairing the final afternoon of the summit.

Key themes for the forum were around capability development within market access and the use of digital innovation, real world evidence and technology to help deliver patient-centricity, demonstrate value and support re-imbursement.

During the three days, we had many discussions with existing and potential clients on value-based contracting and managed entry agreements (MEAs), digital enablement and engagement, and benefit:risk and drug safety. We also saw significant interest in how Huron Consulting has extended our capabilities and geographic reach in commercial strategy, healthcare, education and digital technology.
